Cancer still remains undetected and is only detected when it has metastasized in the body; early detection of cancer is still one of the major challenges being faced for cancer diagnosis. Rapid and effective detection methods are required for clinically determining cancer; hence, biosensors are currently being devised for early detection so that it can be cured at the earliest. Biosensors can detect the various biomarkers which are overexpressed in the body during cancer, Magnetic nanoparticles are currently being explored for their properties which help them in efficient segregation due to their selective separation and target capturing properties. Over time many magnetic nanoparticles are being utilized to devise ultrasensitive biosensors for detection of innumerable anomalies in the body out of which one being cancer. This chapter describes various cancer biomarkers that are being targeted for effective and rapid detection of cancer at its nascent state so that it can be curbed. Ultra-sensitive magnetic biosensors have been reported presently for clinical diagnostic purposes, which successfully binds along with the cancer biomarker that are present in very low concentrations during the early onset of the disease.
