With the increase of peak-valley difference in China's power grid and the increase of the proportion of new energy access, the role of energy storage plants with the function of "peak-shaving and valley-filling" is becoming more and more important in the power system. In this paper, we propose a model to evaluate the cost per kWh and revenue per kWh of energy storage plant operation for two types of energy storage: electrochemical energy storage and pumped storage, and analyze the sensitivity of time-of-use(TOU) price based on the peak-to-valley price diiference in a certain region. The research results provide ideas for evaluating the operational benefits of energy storage power plants participating in the ancillary service market and have important practical value.
