Immunology: Principles and Applications

This chapter introduces the basic concepts of immunology. Immunology is concerned with offering protection against invading pathogens and foreign bodies. Cellular components of immune system were reviewed. The author also reviewed principles of immunological reactions including innate immune response as the first line of exposing to the pathogens. If this is not adequate, more complicated reactions are required such as adaptive immune system.
