Fe60Nb20Ti20amorphous alloy powder were clad by laser cladding technology on the substrate of 45 steel surface with different process parameters. The obtained coating was metallurgically bonded with the substrate without visible crack. The microstructure and phase transformation of these coatings were analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction,micro-hardness,and wear resistance properties were measured using Vickers micro-hardness tester and wear testing machine. The results showed that the microstructure of the clad coating was featured withα-Fe supersaturated solid solution and a small amount of amorphous phase. The average microhardness of the clad layer was approximately 857 HV,which was 3times greater than that of the substrate. The wear resistance was also obviously improved.
