The theory of desulfurization and deoxidation with synthetic slag and basic method of submerged arc refining in ladle furnace are discussed The development and application of technologies of desulfurization, deoxidation with synthetic slag and submerged arc refining in ladle furnace are introduced The ultra low sulfur steel with ≤10×10 -6 and the low oxygen steel with T ≤15×10 -6 can be produced by submerged arc refining in ladle furnace with above mentioned technologies
