Study on Chemical Constituents of Codonopsis nervoa Chipp Nannf

OBJECTIVE To study the constituents of Codonopsis nervosa(Chipp) Nannf.METHODS The compounds were isolated and purified by chromatography on silica gel.NMR was used to identify the structures of the purified compounds.RESULTS Twelve compounds were isolated and identified as taraxeryl acetate(1),taraxerone(2),taraxerol(3),linoleic acid(4),caffeic acid(5),3-O-caffeoyl quinic acid methyl ester(6),3-O-caffeoyl quinic acid butyl ester(7),glycerin 1,3-dilinoleate(8),5,7,3′,5′-tetrahydroxy flavone-7-O-β-D-glucoside(9),luteolin(10),3-O-caffeoyl quinic acid(11) and lobetyolin(12).CONCLUSION All of these compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
