Study on the extraction process for curcumin in curcuma Longa L. with acetone

The extraction process for curcumin in Curcuma longa L.with acetone was studied.The influence of acetone concentration,solid-liquid ratio,extraction times and time on yield of curcumin were observed,the optimal best extraction conditions for curcumin was:with 20 times of 70% acetone,extracting for 2 h and two times in all.The content of curcumin in the extraction solution analyzed by HPLC in this process is 5.17%.
