Intermittent creep tests at 540℃ and 565℃ were conducted with rotor steel 30 Cr1Mo1V in the 240-320 MPa stress range,herewith obtaining the relationship between damage factor and creep life expenditure during a creeping process.A hardness modified Larson-Miller rupture formula has been elaborated by measuring hardness numbers of the samples after creep tests and analyzing the influence of hardness on creep rupture.An examination of the effectiveness of modification of the formula shows that the calculated hardness modified values approach actual test values in case the Larson-Miller parameter exceeds 18000,while failing to do so for smaller parameter values.The relationship between damage incurred and the Larson-Miller number has also been studied.Figs 6,tables 3 and refs 9.
