Development of Study on Structure-activity Relationships of Protoberberine Alkaloids

Protoberberine compound is an important part of isoquinoline alkaloids, which exhibits multiple pharmacological activities. In this article, the antimalarial, antibacterial and antitumor activities and structure activity relationships of protoberberine alkaloids were summarized, which might provide useful informations in the structural modification of traditional Chinese medicine and drug discovery.
