Extraction equilibria behavior of acid yellow RB by trioctylamine

Reactive extraction is a promising technology to saperate polar organics from dilute aqueous solution.The phase equilibrium of acid dye of acid rose yellow RB by trioctyl amine(TOA) was studied in the paper.Dye concentration in aqueous phase showed little effect on extraction percentage with extraction percentage of 40%～50%.Dye concentration in oil phase has a nearly linear relationship with that in water phase,which can be calculated by y =0.71739x.the application of phase equilbrium curve in engineering designing is discussed detailedly.
