Population attributable fractions of a wide range of peripheral diseases for the burden of dementia

Using relative risks estimated from meta-analyses, prevalences extracted from Global Burden of Disease Study 2021, and communalities derived from UK Biobank, we conducted comprehensive analyses of the population attributable fractions (PAFs) of 16 peripheral diseases across 9 systems for dementia, providing the estimates stratified by sex, age, socio-demographic index (SDI) levels, and world regions and countries, and temporal trends from 1990 to 2021.
