Analysis of the Essential Oil ofRuta chalepensissubsp.angustifoliafrom Algeria

Abstract The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of aerial parts of Ruta chalepensis subsp. angustifolia (Rutaceae) was analyzed by GC and GC-MS. Fourteen compounds were characterized representing 98.2 % of the essential oil with the great prevalence of undecan-2-one (83.4 %).
