One-step rapid synthesis of single thymine-templated fluorescent copper nanoclusters for “turn on” detection of Mn2+

Single base T was confirmed to be a template to synthesize water-soluble copper nanoclusters for the first time, which was successfully used to detect Mn²⁺.
