In order to study the gender characteristics of the manifestation of the emotional sphere, a study of two groups of adolescents was conducted. The study involved 30 subjects aged 12 to 15 years. He proposed methods for determining emotionality the test "Characteristics of emotionality" by E. P. Ilyin and the method "Scale of differential emotions" (K.Izard). 15 boys aged 12-15 and 15 girls aged 11-14 took part in the experimental group. The average age of the subjects was 13.5 years. In the course of our research, we have identified the specifics of the manifestation of emotionality in boys and girls. We tried to prove the following hypotheses: The girl has a very high overall emotional level, the boy has too low overall emotional level. Girls are dominated by psychomotor and communicative types of emotionality, and boys have an intellectual type of emotionality. Girls are dominated by such emotional qualities as emotional excitability, the negative impact of emotions on the effectiveness of activity, and boys have such emotional qualities as the duration of emotion. We conducted an experiment to identify this issue. The experiment was aimed at determining the type of emotionality, determining the situational emotional state.
