Finding of topmouth gudgeon Pseudorasbora parva (Temminck et Schlegel) (Actinopterygii: Cyprinidae) in the Brahmaputra River basin (Tibetan Plateau, China)
Two individuals of Pseudorasbora parva were caught in a small irrigating canal flowing into the upstream reach of the Brahmaputra River. The taxonomic status of these specimens was confirmed by morphological analysis and analysis of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) sequences (known as barcoding).
