摘要
Monoclinic prepared under high pressure was used as the cathode in a lithium secondary battery. In the first discharge, the cell showed an almost constant voltage of ca. 1.8V until the discharge capacity corresponding to the uptake of 1.7 Li per was achieved. In constant current cycling carried out between 2.7 and 1.5V, this cell had a larger discharge capacity than that using triclinic prepared by a conventional method. The capacity difference was 0.2–0.3 Li per. X‐ray diffractometry of monoclinic cathode after 120 cycles suggested an accumulation of intercalated lithium in the . The cell was also rechargeable in the compositional range of in .
