Identification of Radix Ginseng and Radix Notoginseng in Qizhu Tiaojing Powder by HPLC

Objective To set up a method for the identification of Radix Ginseng and Radix Notoginseng in Qizhu Tiaojing Powder(QTP).Methods With notoginsenoside R1 and ginsenoside Rf as the observation parameters,Radix Notoginseng and Radix Ginseng in QTP were identified by HPLC.Results Based on the specific ingredients of ginsenoside Rf in Radix Ginseng and notoginsenoside R1 in Radix Notoginseng,and with reference to their common ingredients of ginsenoside Rg1,ginsenoside Re and ginsenoside Rb1,Radix Ginseng and Radix Notoginseng can be identified in QTP.Conclusion The established method is simple and effective for the simultaneous identification of Radix Ginseng and Radix Notoginseng in QTP.
