Impact of oocyte preincubation time on clinical outcomes after intracytoplasmic sperm injection

【Objective】To determine the optimal timing of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).【Methods】 According to the oocyte preincubation time (t) between oocyte retrieval and ICSI,patients were assigned into three groups: Group A (2 h≤t 4 h,n =60),Group B (4 h≤t ≤6 h,n =85) and Group C (6 ht ≤8 h,n =62).Impact of oocyte preincubation time on fertilization,embryo development and clinical outcomes after intracytoplasmic sperm injection was analyzed retrospectively.【Result】Clinical pregnancy rates and implantation rates in Group B and Group C were significantly higher than Group A.【Conclusion】Appropriate preincubation time could improve clinical outcomes after ICSI.
