Components Analysis on Cellulose and Lignin in Macadamia Shell

The components of Macadamia shell were studied in this paper.The results indicated that cellulose,acid-insolu-ble lignin and moisture as the major component in the shell was 34.65%,39.75% and 8.45% respectively.Compared with other plants,the content of acid-insoluble lignin in the shell was higher,while the cellulose content was obviously lower.The spectrum analysis of UV,FT-IR and 1H-NMR revealed that the lignin of Macadamia shell belonged to guaiacol and sy-ringin-based lignin,and the content of guaiacol-based lignin was more than syringin-based lignin.
