A series of copper-based catalysts with the same Al content (10%, mole) but different Cu/Zn mole ratio were prepared by two-step coprecipitation. The catalytic activities, structure and TPR properties of these copper-based catalysts were investigated. Among these catalysts, the catalyst with Cu/Zn = 4/5 has the highest catalytic activity and the lowest reduction temperature because the extent of uniform dispersion between CuO and ZnO in the catalyst is the biggest. The influence of calcination temperature on the structure and properties of the catalysts was also studied.
