摘要
[Purpose] To investigate the incidence characteristics of cardiac cancer in high incidence areas of esophageal cancer and gastric cancer. [Methods] The gastric cancer incidence registration data in 30 registries in China from 1988 to 2002 were analyzed. [Results] Among 30 cancer registries, Yangzhong, Linqu and Fusui were excluded because of no coding in sub-position of cancer. Gastric cancer data in the other 27 cancer registries were analyzed. There were 58 584 cases of new incident gastric cancer, including 12 609 cases of cardiac can- cer, which counted for 21.52%(12609/58584). There were 8 areas with high incidence of esophageal cancer and gastric cancer in the 27 cancer registries. Cardiac cancer accounted for 39.43% of gastric cancer in the 8 high incidence areas;13.30% in the other areas. In esophageal cancer high incidence areas with integral data, there was no significant change of gastric cancer incidence in Cixian in the 15 years, but with increasing trend in cardiac cancer incidence. No significant change was found in gastric cancer and cardiac cancer in Linzhou. While in Tianjin and Beijing city, incidence of gastric cancer was declined, and significant decrease in cardiac cancer incidence was found in Tianjin. [Conclusion] In esophageal cancer and gastric cancer high incidence areas, the proportion of cardiac cancer in gastric cancer was higher than those in other areas, especially high in esophageal cancer high incidence areas. Compared with urban areas, incidence trend of cardiac cancer in esophageal cancer high incidence areas was significantly different. The prevention and control of cardiac cancer should be paid attention to.
