The simulated model sulfur compound, dibenzothiophene(DBT) in toluene is conducted to investigate the oxidative desulfurization by using Cumyl hydroperoxide(CHP) as oil-soluble oxidants. The silica-supported catalysts were prepared by impregation with aqueous solution of(NH4)6Mo7O24.4H2O and(NH4)2HPO4.The effects of reaction temperature, ratio of CHP to sulphur, reaction time and catalyst amount were investigated by orthogonal experiments. The catalysts exhibit better oxidative desulfurization activity, the desulfurization rate of DBT is up to 96% under the optimal oxidative conditions,i.e.reaction temperature of 90℃、Oxidant amount of 2.5:1、reaction time of 2.5h and catalyst amount of 0.25g.
