Discussion of the Relationship between Specific IgE Antibodies and bronchial asthma

Objective To investigate relationship of serum specific IgE antibodies and bronchial asthma in the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma.Methods the serum specific IgE antibodies to contact allergens were test by immunoblot assay in the sera from 132 cases of bronchial asthma.Results out of 132 cases of bronchial asthma,62%of patients were positive with specific IgE antibodies,there were upwards two of allergens positive in 37%patients.82.5% of allergens positive were inhalant.the most inhalant allergens were dust of house and dust mite.the positive rate of Mould imxture between the children and adult groups showed significant difference(P0.01)Conclusion There is relationship between the serum specific IgE antibodies to contact allergens and bronchial asthma.
