Research on expression and development of estrogen receptor beta in testis of rats

Immunohistochemistry SP method was applied in the experiment for the research of Estrogen receptor beta(ER-β)distribution in testes of rats aged four,twentity-three,fifty weeks old.It was discovered that strongly positive ER-β immunoreactive products displayed in testes of rats at four weeks old,mainly in the Leydig cells and myoid cells.Moderate ER-β immunoreactive products showed in testes of rats at twenty-three weeks old,mainly in the few leydig cells and more myoid cells.The weak ER-β immunoreactive products presented in testes of rats at fifty weeks old,and only observed in individual leydig cells and myoid cells in a few areas.The results indicated that ER-β immunoreactive products showed a decreased tendency in rats testis with the growth of age.
