摘要
AIM: To investigate the chemical constituents of Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis. METHOD: Compounds were isolated by silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and RP-C_ 18 column chromatography and the structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods. RESULT: Nine compounds were isolated and identified as steroidal saponins: (23S, 25S)-3β, 23, 27-trihydroxyspirost-5-en-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside(1), paris saponin Ⅰ(2), paris saponin Ⅱ(3),(25R)diosgenin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(4),(25R)diosgenin-3-O-α-L-arabinofuranosyl(1→4)-β-D-glucopyranoside (5),(25R)diosgenin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside(6),(25R) diosgenin-3-O-α-L-glucopyranosyl(1→3)α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside(7),(25R)pennogenin-3-O-α-L-arabinofuranosyl(1→4)α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside (8) and (25R) pennogenin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside(9). CONCLUSION: Compound 1 is a novel steroidal saponin.
