Ultrasonographic Findings of Abdominal Ectopic Pregnancy After In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer: A Case Report

ABSTRACT This case study presents the diagnosis and management of an abdominal ectopic pregnancy following in vitro fertilization‐embryo transfer (IVF‐ET). The patient initially experienced atypical symptoms. Elevated serum β‐hCG levels and comprehensive imaging eventually confirmed the diagnosis of abdominal ectopic pregnancy. Timely laparoscopic surgery was performed, effectively managing this rare and potentially life‐threatening condition. This case underscores the importance of thorough follow‐up and advanced imaging techniques in the early detection and treatment of ectopic pregnancies, particularly in the context of assisted reproductive technologies.
