Recent Progress of MXene-Based Nanomaterials for Corrosion Protection Nanomaterial

In recent times, there has been an avalanche of studies and material applications focused on MXene materials due to their fascinating combination of physical and chemical features. This chapter covers an in-depth overview of the up-to-date advances in preparation, modification, and applications of MXenes. Firstly, the general preparation and modification methods are discussed systematically. Subsequently, the various functions of MXene materials for enhancing polymeric coatings were clarified in detail, including pure MXene sheets, MXene-based hybrid nanofillers, MXenes' distribution, and self-healing properties. Finally, we outline current challenges and development trends of MXene materials in the corrosion protection field in the future.
