摘要
This study presents a novel micro electromagnetic device to enable ionic actuation. Stable atmospheric plasma was generated at a low voltage using a micro discharge device, which integrated an initiation carrier injector into the device. A high speed revolution of the plasma was realized using the Lorentz force by applying a magnetic field of a few tenths of a tesla and the angular velocity of plasma revolution was electrically measured. The proposed device yields a circular ionic motion, which will generate a new type of circular ionic wind. In addition, the electromagnetic operation allowed continuous plasma movements along the electrode, significantly improving device reliability by suppressing unsteady electrode wear and decreasing device temperature.
