High-frequency transformer, as an important component of switching-mode power supply (SMPS), is used for energy transmission, voltage conversion, and electrical isolation in SMPS. The design of high-frequency transformer is a key technology to produce SMPS. This chapter mainly covers the three selection methods for magnetic core, the design method for flyback and forward high-frequency transformer, the selection method for enameled wire and three-layer insulated wire, the loss of high-frequency transformer, and the method for preventing magnetic saturation of high-frequency transformer.
