In this paper, we are studying structural and optical properties of thin films of pure oxide cadmium and doped with the indium prepared by a thermal evaporation method, at thickness (300±10)nm and rate of deposition (1.25) nm/sec. The x-ray diffraction results showed that the pure and doped with the indium films prepared at room temperature were polycrystalline cubic type structures. The optical measurements indicated that the optical transition are direct transition for all pure and doped films and that energy gap increases with increasing indium ratio.
