摘要
Di- and multinuclear metal cooperation plays a pivotal role in small-molecule activation and functionalization. Herein, we report a symmetric phenoxide-bridged ligand that supports an unsymmetric dititanium dinitrogen complex featuring side-on/end-on N2 coordination. This complex possessed a strongly nucleophilic (N2)4- moiety that readily underwent diverse derivatizations to construct N-C, N-Si, and N-P bonds. Particularly noteworthy are the complex's reactivities with α,ω-dihaloalkanes, which selectively generate structurally distinct N-heterocyclic compounds, showing the potential in constructing diverse N-contained heterocycles directly from N2.
