Reactions of 4,5‐diaminouracils

Abstract Reactions of 4,5‐diaminopyrimidines with various phthalic derivatives, depending on the conditions employed, led to pyrimidines with a 5‐N‐substituted phthalamic acid (III), 5‐N‐substituted phthalimide (II) and 4,5‐bis‐N‐substituted phthalimide (VI).
