The influence of the content and distribution of siver-plated fibers on the antistatic property of the plain weft knitted fabric is investigated by the testing and analysis of the antistatic properties of a group of the fabrics with different content and distribution of siver-plated fibers. The result shows that the antistatic ability of the fabric increases with the increase of the content of the siver-plated fibers, but it will be affected by the inlaying of non-antistatic yarn;the static charge deposition area will be formed owing to the inlaying of non-functional yarn, and the antistatic property of fabric depends on the size of the static charge deposition area and the antistatic ability of the functional yarn;the inlaying of non-functional yam will intensify the antistatic unevenness caused by the distribution unevenness of siver-plated fibers in the fuctional yarn;the non-antistatic yarn should not be inlaid when antistatic fabric is knitted with antistatic functional yarn of low blending ratio.
