Research development of materials damage effect under hypervelocity impact

The blow efficiency of ammunition will be enhanced because of the fast development of hypervelocity kinetic energyweapons,the damage effect of hypervelocity impact has become a major study aspect at the areas of ammunition research andtargets protection. The research status of damage effect of hypervelocity impact of concrete,rock,metal and composite at homeand aboard is discussed. The development trend of hypervelocity kinetic energy weapons is analyzed. The research areas ofdamage effect of hypervelocity impact in the future are discussed on the foundation of generalizing the problems exiting in current research.
