[Objective] The research aimed to study the variation of soil salinity in the soil layer of 0-60 cm on cotton fields furrow and ridge which was under regulation furrow irrigation.[Method] Taken cotton as the object which was been widely planted in the south of Xinjiang oasis irrigation area, routine furrow irrigation(CFI),alternate furrow irrigation(AFI)and fixed furrow irrigation(FFI) were adopted as irrigation method and three kinds of irrigation amounts of 3 900,3 600 and 3 300 m3/hm2 were selected.[Result] The soil salinity of all treatments after-irrigation under the same irrigation amount which was 3 900 m3/hm2 was significantly decreased in the layer of 0-60 cm compared With fore-irrigation.Desalination rate of CFI treatment was lower than that of AFI and FFI.With the same irrigation method, regulation furrow irrigation with different irrigation amount, the soil salinity after-irrigation of irrigation AFI 3 600 m3/hm2 was obviously decreased in the layer of 0-60 cm compared with fore-irrigation and desalination rate were higher than that of other treatments.[Conclusion] Based on the general effects of the cotton growth,AFI was better than other irrigation methods. The soil salinity content of AFI 3 600 m3/hm2 was in favor of the growth of cotton and was suitable for popularizing in local region.
