PUBLIC OPEN SPACE IN CITY CENTRE:PICCADILLY GARDENS,MANCHESTER,UK

Public open space, as a means of achieving city regeneration and encouraging people to live, work and enjoy the urban life, is very important. This article describes and analyses the design concepts of Piccadilly Garden which is located in city centre. Through the site visit, this case study sums up a range of strategies used in this project and shows how these strategies were cooperated with surrounding environment and how people use it after construction.
