The tribology performance of copper matrix with graphite self-lubricating powder metallurgy material/QCr0.5 couples and copper matrix powder metallurgy material/QCr0.5 couples under different electric currents was studied on a pin-disk tribo-tester.The results show that the wear rate decreases with the increasing sliding speed, the current has a notable effect on the tribology of couples. The friction coefficient and wear rate of copper matrix with graphite self-lubricating powder metallurgy material/QCr0.5 couples are notably smaller than that of copper matrix powder metallurgy material/QCr0.5 couples at the same conditions. In the current-free fields, the visible adhesive marks were shown on the friction surfaces. It is indicated that the main wear mechanism of couples is adhesive wear.Under the electric field conditions, the fusion pores and pan furrows were taken on the friction surfaces. The primary wear mechanism is electrical wear and abrasive wear.
