The aim of the study was to detect the application of the electronic tongue on green tea beverage.Seven kinds of green tea beverage sold in the market were detected by the electronic tongue which was based on potentiometric chemical sensors developed by Alpha M.O.S.(Toulouse,France).All data were treated based on principal component analysis(PCA),cluster analysis(CA) and similarity analysis(SA).The results showed that the electronic tongue could very good distinguish between those seven green tea beverage,and the discrimination index of PCA plot was 96.Therefore,the electronic tongue displayed great application potential in green tea beverage taste discrimination,online monitoring and authenticity identification.
