Application of Harmony in the Accompaniment of Ethnically-styled Songs

The application of harmony plays an important soul part in the compositon of accompaniment.A good harmony creation and its effective involvement in accompaniment often serve as supplements and foils to songs.This paper argues that a better expression of harmony in the accompaniment of ethnically-styled songs can be achieved not only by putting emphasis on ethnic styles on the basis of traditional functional harmony,or adding modern harmony into songs based on ethnic styles,but also by giving different harmony treatment to songs of diversified ethnic styles with a desired contemporary effect of harmony.
