Spatial Features and Influencing Factors on the Discrepancies in Regional Tourism in Jiangsu

Discrepancies in regional tourism are prevalent and undeniable.Taking Jiangsu Province for example,from 1998 to 2007,the spatial features of tourism display the following features.In terms of period,discrepancies in regional tourism have been enlarged annually,with the gaps increasing among the South Jiangsu,the Middle Jiangsu and the North Jiangsu and among 13 municipal cities.In terms of space,the discrepancies present concentrating and belting features,scal-ing from cities of advanced tourism to cities of drawback tourism.These discrepancies have been caused by many factors,such as natural touring sources,different regions,cultural outlooks,infrastructures,policies,industrial structures and eco-nomic developments.
