Carrier Recovery Technology in Digital Relay Satellite Communication Systems

Carrier frequency offset estimation is one of key technologies in digital relay satellite systems.A nonlinear transform FFT algorithm for observing carrier frequency offset is derived.An interpolation algorithm based on the peak and two adjacent points is used to improve the FFT algorithm.A dichotomous search algorithm is then proposed to achieve a more accurate result.Computer simulations have been made and the results show this scheme is effective in prohibiting noise and has good performance with considerable calculation.
