Investigation on Life Quality of Breast Cancer Patients undergoing Modified Radical Mastectomy

Objective To describe the variation of life quality of patients undergoing modified radical mastectomy in the sequencing 12 months,so as to provide the evidence for improving their life quality.Methods Sixty cases of patients undergoing modified radical mastectomy were followed up ever since by using the Chinese version of Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy researched by the Center on Outcomes Research and Evaluation on the third,sixth and twelfth month specifically.Results Various aspects of life quality such as physical status,social-family status,emotional status,functional status,additional attentive items and even the sums of life quality of patients undergoing modified radical mastectomy showed significantly differences between the third month and the sixth month,as well as between the sixth month the twelfth month.As time went by,the various aspect of life quality were improved significantly.Conclusion The variation of life quality of patients after undergoing modified radical mastectomy is dynamic,so the nursery staff should help and guide the patients according to their actual situation.
