Diagnosis and clinical treatment of necrotizing fasciitis

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and clinical treatment of necrotizing fasciitis (NF).Methods The characteristics,treatment and curative effect of 17 NF patients admitted in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively.Results The 17 patients recieved extensive debridement of the necrotic tissue,intravenous antibiotics,parenteral nutrition.When the wound was granulated well enough,the plastic surgical reconstruction including skin grafting and transplantation of skin flap was per formed.All 17 patients were cured.Conclusions The key of treatment of necrotizing fasciitis was early diagnosis,extensive debridement of the necrotic tissue,intravenous antibiotics,parenteral nutrition.Flap and skin grafts are the main methods for wound repairment.
