Influence of corrosion preventive compounds on the friction force in aircraft lap joints

Highlights Long service life of aircraft aggravates problems of metal fatigue and corrosion. Corrosion preventive compounds are used as a complementary method against corrosion. Preventive compounds change friction in riveted joints and affect fatigue life. The proposed method evaluates compounds influence on friction in the riveted joins.
