Saponins from Fagonia mollis

Three new saponins were isolated from the aerial parts of Fagonia mollis. They were characterized as oleanolic acid-3-O-6′-O-methyl-β-d-glucuronopyranoside, oleanolic acid 3-O-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1→3)-6′-O-methyl-β-d-glucuronopyranoside and oleanolic acid 3-O-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl (1→3)-6′-O-methyl-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl28-O-β-d-glucopyranoside. The structures of these saponins were determined on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence.
