Data Preprocessing of Microarray Gene Expression Profile

Data preprocessing is prepared for subsequent analysis and a critical step in the analysis of gene expression profiles, which include drawing useful data by filtering, making up nonentity data by missing-value estimating, transforming the data from a non-normal to a normal distribution and removing or minimizing the biases of systematic variation by normalization. It is no doubt that data preprocessing is no less important than subsequent analysis and directly impact analysis result. This review pays more attention to the data preprocessing of cDNA microarray and simply highlights the data preprocessing of oligo microarray.
