Hong Kong Public Housing's Influence on Mainland China's Social Housing

The construction of social housing in China is still in an early and exploratory stage with a number of problems still to be solved. But with a record of more than 60 years of research and development, Hong Kong's public housing has made brilliant strides. This article analyzes these achievements from three different vantage points--policy, management, and design. It attempts to identify lessons applicable to social housing in the Mainland.
