The solubilities of bisphenol A (BPA) in phenol, binary (phenol+acetone), (phenol+water) and tenary (phenol+acetone+water) solvent mixtures were determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in the concentration range of solute bisphenol A 7%~30%(wt), solvent phenol 70%~93%(wt), acetone 0%~5%(wt) and water 0%~5%(wt) at the heating scan speed 2.0Kmin-1. For each of the four systems, four correlation equations mathematical descriptions of the experimental results were proposed respectively for correlating the relation between temperature and solubility. In those equations the number of the empirical parameters was no more than four and the parameters were fitted by the method of least squares. Using those correlating equations and fitted parameters the root-mean-square deviations between the calculated and experimental temperature for the four equations were 0.36K, 0.68K, 0.68K and 0.78K, respectively. Each of the equations describes the above systems successfully. The results could be used for the crystallization procedure of BPA production.
