Expression of protein arginine methyltransferase in lung cancer

Aim To investigate the expression of protein rginine methyltransferase(PRMT5)in lung cancer.Methods Western blotting was used and the expression of PRMT5-specific antibody in tissue of 28 lung cancer patients were detected.Results PRMT5 was detected in 28 patients and the expresson of PRMT5 was enhanced in almost all the cancer patients except two large cell cancer cases and 1 small cell cancer cases in whom the expression of PRMT5 was not elevated.Conclusion PRMT5 mainly plays a role occurrence of lung adenocarcinoma and lung squamous cell carcinoma.
