Abstract The synthesis is described of a number of 1‐ and 4‐substituted derivatives of pyridine related to isonicotinic acid hydrazide (INH) and of isonicotinoyl hydrazones of some aldehydes. These compounds were prepared in order to test them for possible growth‐inhibiting properties against Mycobact. tuberculosis.
